AVS is proud to be an affiliated Boardriders club on the Gold Coast. The club currently has over 70 active members from diverse military backgrounds. The club is not limited to just Veterans but serving members and their immediate families.

Why become a member?

When you sign up with a Boardriders club, it gives you the opportunity to compete in club rounds and also competitions such as the Kirra Teams Challenge. There are opportunities for coaching/judging courses and HPC camps. You will receive your members shirt and also be covered for accidental insurance.

Not all our members are advanced surfers! This is why we offer the opportunity for surf lessons and encourage social surfs, so that you can paddle out with someone more experienced, we are always happy to help out!

You can become a member of our Boardriders club if you are serving/ex-serving or in any way affiliated with the defence force (family member etc). We also encourage international Veterans residing in Australia to join.

Future plans for AVS Boardrider Clubs

Gold Coast based Boardriders club has been a great success, with many skilled surfers have had the opportunity to compete. Our aim is to set up Boardrider clubs in locations across Australia. This will give us the chance to start having interclub competitions and have our own small title to be won.
